Plundering Overview

Plundering lets you steal from different settlements to obtain themed items, gold, and skill tools. Only successful plunders give XP and items - failed attempts give nothing. Your success chance (CoS) is determined by the levels of specific skills associated with each settlement. Lockpick tools are obtained by plundering the Small village itself.

Success Chance Calculation

Each settlement requires multiple skills to reach 100% success rate. The skills split the success chance evenly, so you must level each of them to their capped level for guaranteed success. Leveling one skill above cap does not compensate for another being below it. The clan "Group effort" upgrade adds a flat +10% to all success rates.

Tool Drops

One of the most important reasons to Plunder is to obtain higher-tier tools for your other skills. Every skill tool (hatchets, pickaxes, fishing rods, hammers, needles, rakes, pans, etc.) is obtained exclusively through Plundering the corresponding settlement. You cannot buy them on the market - you must plunder for them.

Boosting Success Rate

The "Group effort" clan upgrade (+10% flat CoS) is an early-game priority for Plundering-focused players. The "Ghostly Hood/Top/Pants" set (dropped by Banshee in combat) gives a 2% Plundering boost. Plundering gloves from Clan events give a 5% double loot chance. Stacking these bonuses meaningfully reduces the time needed to farm tools and other drops.
